This is a contents page from mixmag.. This edition is the November 2010 edition As you can see it has an interesting 2 colour scheme of black and gold. This fits in with the music genre of dance as the black is a strong bass colour and the gold is soft but decorative over the top. The font also represents this as there is no sans serrif meaning that it is very nicely rounded representing tonal music. It also uses modern terminology like "banter" this appeals to my target audience as they see that the magazine uses this kind off language an instantly know the vibe it lets off. The contents page is in block format with the picture on the left and the information on the right. This is a clear layout and although this has nothing to do with my target audience it is appealing to everyone and everyone can easily see what happening and where.
Overall I will take the 2 contrasted colours from this design and the rounded font as I believe that these are very suitable for a dance magazine.
