circles

Ok so this is a lot of circles which took me way too long to complete and have encountered more problems with these than there are craters on the moon
1st off the circles have an optical illusion effect caused by lots of circles clumped together which was not an original part of the design.

so here are 4 different sized pngs. All the pngs are the same but all of them are a pain in the bum as they appear to be different at the changed sizes. This is the optical illusion of circles and I cant stand it.

2'nd problem the colour this gave me a headache to the point where I thought I was dying (maybe slightly extreme) i tried placing the circles in indesign but with it being on a black background and the circles being black with mask on Photoshop. So i tried to change it to a graphic silver and the colour wouldn't change at all i eventually managed to get the box it was in to go grey but obviously this was not ideal. Then my captain in this endeavour Mr C came over and showed me how to do it on Photoshop and not indesign using the saturation tool.

3rd problem time. Despite the problems i have already encountered these version are by far the best versions i have created to date. This is because ive had so many problems with these circles  infact i have roughly 21 problems with these circles (a problem with each circle) it took a hec of a lot time do get it to the stage its at now. I must have spent 3-4 hours on these circles encountering a new problem every time I tried to complete the task.

Hoist the sails lads cos i need a pint.

background

this is the background I used for my rough cut. I created this affect by using the gradient tool the yellow fits with my colour scheme. This too got mixed reviews and I have decided now to go for the plain black =background this actually fits with research

neon lights mk2

this was the neon light I created using the blending shop in Photoshop. It had mixed reviews despite it being on of the main features of my research and so I have decided to scrap it and move on.

rough cut

Overall I like the double page spread and the contents page but the cover page needs completley redone i think the main reason is the gradiented background.
